Hi this is Adam Berczes, or rather I used to say when I meet international guys: Adam from Hungary. Please find below my short introduction.
I am a so called music industry professional from Hungary. I started working at BMG Hungary in 1998, then I went to EMI Music in 2000. At both majors I was responsible for international label managements. In the last period of my time at EMI I made some bookings of EMI artists such as Alice Deejay, Vengaboys, or DJ Ötzi. After realizing the potential in this, I made a decision to quit and start my own label and booking agency, called CLS Music together with my high school class mate Zoltán Valló. CLS is the abbreviation of club solutions, this was what we offered.
In 2008 I had a serious health care issue and a surgery. This caused a 180 degree change in my attitude to life and way of thinking. It took some years to adjust my business to it as well so Egység Média came to life after CLS Music suspended its record label and artist management activity mid 2013. Egység means oneness, unity in Hungarian. This word expresses best the philosophy and attitude of the company that is working with the same ars poetica and infrastructure as CLS Music.
